I don't know what to think of the Prophet article.  I know now that the war is over, we should all be up on forgiveness and moving on, but some part of me just doesn't know  if I should be pleased or worried about all of this.  I guess I just have to wait and see what happens. I will be keeping a close eye on the papers and the tele the next few weeks, that is for sure.

I know a lot of people are clamouring that is a horrible idea and all and while I may not be fully for it, you never know if it was a wise choice or not until afterwords.  I do worry about what pardoning death eaters will do to muggleborn acceptance in the wizarding world. That is an issue that needs to be addressed.

But yes, besides all this going on work has been busy as usual and I have two healer trainees to look after.  It is interesting seeing them, so young and willing to learn. It feels like only yesterday I was in training. They are a bit rusty, but in time they will gain confidence in themselves.

Oh, Dora dear, I read your journal entry.

A detention? Already?

Do try to behave this year, yeah?

Mind your professors. I don't want to year that you have another detention.

I'm very worried about this- I think it has the potential to hinder Muggleborn acceptance, and as long as You-Know-Who is still alive, it's an issue of safety.

I feel the same way. I just feel divided about this entire thing. I just hope that us as a Magical community will not grow to regret this decision in the future.

What exactly does the pardoning of them have to do with how muggleborns are treated? I daresay it's actually a step in the right direction of the acceptance of everybody.

Well during the first war followers of You-Know-Who were horrible persecutors of muggleborns among other crimes. By pardoning them, it could send a bad message and lead to them thinking they can get away with more crimes.

You don't see the bad things that could result from this? Of course you wouldn't...

Or it could lead the pardoned Death Eaters down a path of realisation and gratitude towards muggleborns for giving them another chance at life and repairing their futures. Did you ever think of that, hm? It could actually be a disgustin successful way to unite both the pure and muggle communities in some sort of understanding. It isn't a one-sided action that keeps them apart, you know.

Of course I do, I would be a fool if I didn't - there's bad in everything, Tonks. And everyone. I'm also willing to give the idea a chance because, unlike everyone else, I'm not going to jump the wand and condemn it before i've seen the outcome.

I am not saying I am fully against this idea. I do see things from your point of view. They could feel gratitude towards the Ministry and muggleborns for this show of forgiveness.

I did say I saw things from both points of view. I know that not all death eaters are bad and some can be reformed. I just think some can be better at acting the part and that you never know.

It's just from Remus, Mum. He won't make me do anything all that bad. And all I was doing was talking to him in class about the lesson. It's a stupid reason for detention, really.

Even if it is just Remus.

He couldn't have given you a detention just for that. Are you not telling em something.

Well, he was trying to give a lecture, and I guess I might've been interrupting him, but they were legitimate questions! And I was raising my hand and stuff for the most part.

Nymphadora, you know that talking out of turn is not a good thing to do, my love. I want you to behave. No more detentions.

But I'm trying to learn! I can't learn what I need to know for my N.E.W.T.s if we're given books that aren't giving us the right information. And it's just Remus. He won't make me do anything awful. Probably thinks it's funny, all things considered. And I am behaving! Really, Mum, I am.

I will take your word for it this time.

They aren't? Well if that is the case, then that is a different story.

Being inquisitive and asking questions is a good thing. Just make sure you don't step on anyones toes, yeah?

They really are awful. They give the bare basics, and sometimes they're wrong or don't explain things fully, so I ask Remus for explanations. That's all.

Yeah, okay, I'll try.

Agreed on all accounts -- I suppose we'll just have to see how it goes.

I guess we will.

I am seeing Regulus on Wednesday and I am very anxious.

I haven't seen him in years and he agreed to see me.

Just tell me this will go okay.

I think you should feel however you feel about it. We both know that once a Death Eater, always a Death Eater, doesn't always ring true, but you never know about some.

I do believe some death eaters can be saved are not all bad, like Regulus. But like you said, you don't know if some are just better at covering things up and acting the part as 'reformed' and all..
